Participants will be invited to attend three webinars on the topics of practitioner-led action research, multimodality and data. Each webinar will be led by a specialist in their field.

The webinars are designed to help you think about key issues in designing and carrying out your action research project. You will be encouraged to participate actively by engaging and contributing through virtual breakout rooms. There will be follow up activities to help prepare in particular for peer working group one (scheduled for November) and peer working group two (scheduled for March). Each webinar can be accessed after the event.

• Webinar 1: What is Practitioner-Led Action Research?  Led by Jim Crowther, Senior Lecturer in Community Education, University of Edinburgh

• Webinar 2: What is multimodality and why does it matter? Led by John Sutter, Director at Learning Unlimited, and Learning Enhancement Manager (language and literacies) at University for the Creative Arts (UCA) and Bob Read, Training & Development Adviser for ACER.

• Webinar 3: How to critically analyse and present data. Led by JD Carpentieri, Lecturer in Adult Education in the Department of Lifelong and Comparative Education: National Research and Development Centre for Adult Literacy and Numeracy (NRDC), Institute of Education
